Medical Standards
The general medical standards required as per Defence Standards are as follows:
- Good Physical and Mental Health free from disability/disease
- No weak constitution of body or over weight
- Minimum Height
- Chest Expansion for Males - 5 cms
- Chest X - Ray
- No. Disease/ Defects in bones or joints
- No medical history of fits/ mental break down
- Hearing whisper from distance of 20 feet
- No functional or organic disease of heart and blood pressure normal 120/80
- Un - Operated Hernia or operated at least one year before
- No Hydrocele, Vericele or Piles
- No skin problem/disfigurement
- Color Vision - CP - II, able to recognize red & green colors
- Radial Ketatotomy of vision rejected. Lasik/ Laser procedure for myopia or hypermetropia with stable refraction done six months prior
- Corrected vision - 6/6, 6/9
- Maximum Residual Refraction +1.50
